1. Introduction
Welcome to ClarityScanner, your trusted platform for reverse phone lookup. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our Services, including reverse phone lookup and any associated features, subscriptions, or one-time purchases (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference.
These Terms establish a legally binding agreement between you (“User”) and the operator of the Services (referred to as “we,” “us,” or “our”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must refrain from using the Services.
The Services are offered exclusively to individuals who are at least 18 years old and who agree to use them in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will take effect upon posting to our website or upon direct notification to you. Your continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Class Action Waiver
BY USING THE SERVICES, YOU AGREE THAT ANY DISPUTES, CLAIMS, OR CONTROVERSIES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS, THE SERVICES, OR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES WILL BE RESOLVED EXCLUSIVELY ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS. YOU EXPRESSLY WAIVE YOUR RIGHT TO BRING OR PARTICIPATE IN ANY CLASS, COLLECTIVE, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION AGAINST THE SERVICES OR THEIR OPERATORS.
THIS CLASS ACTION WAIVER IS A MATERIAL AND NON-SEVERABLE PART OF THESE TERMS.
3. Services
The Services provide reverse phone lookup reports that may include publicly available information and licensed data from data suppliers. Information may include names, addresses, family member associations, social media profiles, email addresses, and location history associated with a phone number. Users acknowledge that the accuracy and availability of results may vary depending on the sources used.
We may offer a “Reports History” / “Cached Reports” feature that allows you to access certain previously generated report outputs without re-running the same search. Cached Reports are maintained solely for your personal convenience and limited related purposes such as security, fraud prevention, debugging, customer support, and legal compliance. Cached Reports are accessible only after authentication, are not publicly displayed or indexed, and are not accessible to other users.
Cached Reports are retained for up to 120 days from generation, after which we automatically delete them from active systems within a commercially reasonable timeframe, subject to limited exceptions for security, fraud prevention, backups, and legal compliance.
Our Services are designed for personal, informational use only and are not intended for decision-making processes where accuracy and completeness are critical, such as financial, legal, employment, or other regulated purposes.
4. Accounts and Logins
Access to the platform is granted via a magic link sent to your email. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to promptly update it if it changes. You are solely responsible for maintaining the security of your email account and ensuring that no unauthorized parties access the magic link sent to you.
Access to paid features is provided after initiating a trial period at the price displayed on the billing page. Continued access may be subject to additional subscription fees as outlined in these Terms.
You may not share the magic link or allow unauthorized parties to access the Services. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access if we detect unauthorized use, misuse, or violations of these Terms.
By using the Services, you acknowledge that you are at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into these Terms.
5. License to Use
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and non-sublicensable license to access and use the Services solely for your personal, non-commercial purposes. This license does not grant you any ownership rights to the Services, content, or data accessed through the platform.
Any unauthorized use of the Services, including scraping, copying, reproducing, distributing, modifying, or reverse-engineering, is strictly prohibited.
6. Content
The content provided through the Services (“Content”) is intended solely for informational purposes. While we strive to ensure accuracy and reliability, we do not guarantee that the Content is complete, error-free, or up-to-date. Content is derived from publicly available sources and licensed data and may contain inaccuracies, outdated information, or omissions.
Content reflects information available from applicable sources at the time the report is generated and may not reflect subsequent updates, corrections, removals, or changes in underlying sources. We do not guarantee that Content is current, complete, or accurate, and we do not guarantee that the same search will return the same results at a later time.
Content is for your personal, internal use only. You may not publish, post, transmit, screenshot for distribution, forward, or otherwise disclose any Content to any third party.
7. Payment Terms
7-Day Trial
- Your trial payment may be processed as one or two separate charges depending on region and payment method.
- The first payment activates your trial subscription; any second payment confirms that your payment method on file supports recurring charges.
- The trial converts automatically to the selected subscription plan unless canceled before the trial period ends.
Monthly Subscription
- $29.99 / month (or local-currency equivalent based on user location).
- Includes lookup credits per month as disclosed at the point of purchase.
- Billed automatically on a recurring monthly basis after the trial period.
General
We accept all major credit and debit cards as well as select regional payment options. All payments are processed securely through a PCI-DSS-compliant provider.
Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled prior to the end of the current billing cycle. In the event of a failed payment, we may attempt to process the charge multiple times over a 30-day period before suspending access.
8. Refund Policy
Refunds for the trial fee are available only if requested within 7 days of purchase and no credits have been used. Regular subscriptions are non-refundable, except in specific cases such as service unavailability exceeding 24 hours (excluding scheduled maintenance or force majeure events) or billing errors like duplicate charges or incorrect amounts. Refund requests must be submitted within 30 days of the charge and will be verified by our support team before processing.
Refunds will not be provided for partial or unused subscription time after cancellation, changes to subscription plans or features, or failure to cancel before the next billing cycle.
If eligible for a refund, submit a request through our Help Center or via email at support@clarityscanner.com. Include your account email, transaction details, and reason for the refund request. Refunds are typically processed to the original payment method within 3–5 business days.
10. Communication
By using the Services, you consent to receive transactional and service-related communications from us, including emails regarding account activity, purchases, subscription renewals, and system updates. These communications are necessary for the proper functioning of the Services and cannot be opted out of unless you delete your account.
We may also send promotional or marketing emails. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in the email.
11. Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time by navigating to our cancellation hub or contacting support at support@clarityscanner.com. Cancellations take effect at the start of the next billing cycle; no further charges will apply. Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period.
Failure to cancel in accordance with this section may result in continued charges for which you are responsible.
12. User Obligations
- Lawful and ethical use — you may not use the Services for any unlawful, fraudulent, or malicious activities, including harassment, stalking, defamation, or identity theft.
- Personal use — the Services are for your personal, non-commercial use only.
- FCRA-regulated uses are prohibited.
- Provide accurate information when creating an account.
- Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- Do not share, publish, or distribute reports, data, or content provided by the Services.
- Do not use the Services to stalk, harass, threaten, intimidate, dox, defame, or otherwise cause harm to any person.
- Do not attempt unauthorized access, scrape, reverse-engineer, or otherwise circumvent safeguards.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the operators of the Services, their affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors, and service providers from and against any claims, demands, actions, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Services, your breach of these Terms, third-party claims related to your use, or any unauthorized activity conducted through your account.
14. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE OPERATORS OF THE SERVICES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SERVICES.
IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO ACCESS THE SERVICES DURING THE SIX (6) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. IF YOU HAVE NOT MADE ANY PAYMENTS, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED $100.
15. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. We expressly disclaim all warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy of information.
The information provided through the Services is derived from publicly available sources and licensed data suppliers, which may include inaccuracies, outdated information, or omissions. You assume full responsibility for your use of the Services and any information obtained through them.
16. Opt-Out Policy
We provide an opt-out mechanism that allows individuals to remove their phone numbers from our publicly available search results. To request removal, navigate to our opt-out page, enter the phone number you wish to remove, and verify ownership via a one-time password sent to that number.
The opt-out applies only to our platform and does not affect or remove information that may be available through third-party databases, public records, social media, government websites, or other external sources.
17. Intellectual Property
All content, materials, and intellectual property featured on the Services, including text, graphics, logos, icons, images, software, and design, are the exclusive property of ClarityScanner, its affiliates, or its licensors and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, transmit, or otherwise exploit any portion of the Services without prior written consent.
18. Dispute Resolution
Disputes must first be resolved informally with our support team within 30 days of the dispute arising. If unresolved, the matter may be escalated by formal complaint to support@clarityscanner.com.
If the formal escalation process does not yield a satisfactory resolution, disputes must be submitted to binding arbitration conducted by the American Arbitration Association (AAA). Arbitration will be conducted in English by a single arbitrator. Consolidated claims, class actions, and representative actions are prohibited.
19. Governing Law
These Terms and your use of the Services are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Delaware.
For users within the EU or EEA, these Terms shall also be governed by the laws of Delaware, USA, without prejudice to mandatory local laws applicable in your jurisdiction.
20. Amendments
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Modifications are effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the Services after modifications constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
21. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remainder shall remain in full force and effect.
22. Entire Agreement
These Terms, including any policies incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between ClarityScanner and you, superseding all prior or contemporaneous communications, proposals, or agreements between the parties regarding the subject matter herein.
